notarrowette: (Sleepy Cissie)

Being sick sucks

[RP with Roy (and Dick. And Tim!) Let's just say this happens after The Lube Fight?]

Cissie felt like crap. She was tired and achy and hadn't stopped coughing all day. By the time she got back to her room after classes, practice and dinner, all she wanted to do was crawl into bed under a million covers and not get up again until the weekend.

However, there were two chapters of A Tale of Two Cities to read, a history quiz to study for and twenty math problems to solve before she could. She put on her pajamas, plugged in her Christmas lights and settled in at her desk to try to work. One hour and five math questions later, she gave up and crawled into bed, huddling under her covers with Dickens.

She fell asleep halfway through the first paragraph.

Tim laughed quietly. "I'm flattered. It's the Baby Bat. You heard from Cissie?"

"Yeah, hi, kid." Roy said, tucking his phone under his chin and stroking Dick's hair, 'it's your kid brother' he mouthed. "She's here... she's sick, and I couldn't just leave her there."

Tim made a face at the phone. Cissie was sick--that sucked. "Is she all right?" Can I come over?--he didn't ask. Roy had things well in hand and the last thing he needed was another person underfoot.

[identity profile] father-archer.livejournal.com 2008-12-08 02:28 am (UTC)(link)
"She's sick, so no." Roy said. "I was going to call you... got some free time to come over in the next few days? If y'do, go ahead and come over. Sure she'd like to see you, even if she is really sick. Dick's here, too."
mrsarcastic003: (Thinking Tim)

[personal profile] mrsarcastic003 2008-12-08 02:42 am (UTC)(link)
"I can make some free time--let you know who know where I've gone." He thought quickly. He'd get Bruce on the comm, and leave a note for Jason. That should take care of things in Gotham. He could e-mail his teachers later for homework. "You sure you don't mind?"

[identity profile] father-archer.livejournal.com 2008-12-08 02:52 am (UTC)(link)
"Positive." Roy smiled, "So long as you're okay with the couch. Or the floor, your choice... and there'll probably be pizza when you get here so don't worry about it."
mrsarcastic003: (Thinking Tim)

[personal profile] mrsarcastic003 2008-12-08 03:20 am (UTC)(link)
"Either way. I can sleep pretty much anywhere." And he had, too. "The pizza sounds great, though. I'll be there as soon as I can."

[identity profile] father-archer.livejournal.com 2008-12-08 03:27 am (UTC)(link)
"Good." Roy said. "And we'll save you at least four. See you, kid."
mrsarcastic003: (Thinking Tim)

[personal profile] mrsarcastic003 2008-12-08 03:58 am (UTC)(link)
"Awesome. Thanks. See you soon." He hung up the phone and started making his preparations to go. Pack a bag. Quick call to Bruce letting him know he'd be gone for a few days--he wasn't happy about it, but Tim wasn't really leaving him room for negotiation. Jason was still at work, but he'd be home before heading out on patrol. Tim left him a note taped to the inside of his window that he'd be off patrol and out of town for a couple of nights.

And then he was on his way. He had to admit--he did love fast cars. And the Redbird was fast.

Roy leaned back, "Your brothers' coming over." he said, and got up to get pizza ordered for about two hours later.

Within a couple of hours, Tim was there. He stowed the Redbird, and started making his way to Roy's apartment via the fire escape. He knocked on the window when he made it.

Doors? Pft.

[identity profile] father-archer.livejournal.com 2008-12-08 04:55 am (UTC)(link)
Roy came to the window, "Hey there." he said softly, "C'mon in... this window's not bat-proof when I'm home." he smiled.
mrsarcastic003: (Thinking Tim)

[personal profile] mrsarcastic003 2008-12-08 05:06 am (UTC)(link)
Tim grinned. "Thanks. I still try to do the polite thing and knock before entering, though." He climbed in through the window. "And thanks for having me."

[identity profile] father-archer.livejournal.com 2008-12-08 05:10 am (UTC)(link)
"No problem. Bats are always welcome. Even the one that never comes." Roy smirked.
mrsarcastic003: (Happy Tim)

[personal profile] mrsarcastic003 2008-12-08 05:18 am (UTC)(link)
Tim laughed, shooting Roy a wry grin. "I'll make sure to let Bruce know."

[identity profile] father-archer.livejournal.com 2008-12-08 05:22 am (UTC)(link)
Roy smiled and pointed towards the kitchen, "Food." then he pointed at the bathroom, "Shower," then at Cissie's door, "Cissie. Lian. Me and Dick, and your couch is by the kitchen." he grinned, "Make yourself at home!"
mrsarcastic003: (Thinking Tim)

[personal profile] mrsarcastic003 2008-12-08 05:32 am (UTC)(link)
"Thanks. Is Cissie awake?"

[identity profile] father-archer.livejournal.com 2008-12-08 12:20 pm (UTC)(link)
"I don't think so- she was out of it when I went to get her. I probably should go medicate her, but she was pretty deeply asleep."
mrsarcastic003: (Thinking Tim)

[personal profile] mrsarcastic003 2008-12-09 01:44 am (UTC)(link)
Tim made a face. "Well, I won't wake her up, then." He slid out of the backpack he'd stuffed his clothes and things into. "Mind if I get changed and grab something to eat?"

[identity profile] father-archer.livejournal.com 2008-12-09 01:48 am (UTC)(link)
"Not at all." Roy said, "Pizza's on the counter, just put it in the microwave or oven. Help yourself to anything but juice boxes- those're Lian's and she's possessive of them since I drank 'em all." he grinned.
mrsarcastic003: (Thinking Tim)

[personal profile] mrsarcastic003 2008-12-09 03:40 am (UTC)(link)
Tim shook his head. "Cold pizza's never bothered me any. And thanks--I'll make sure to leave the juice boxes alone." He headed toward the bathroom to change.
