Cissie knew something was up with Cassie. Even if it had been a while since they had really spent time together, she thought she still knew her friend well enough to tell. She had told Cassie she'd missed her, and she meant that; despite the time that had passed and everything that had happened since their Young Justice days--and even since Kon's death--she still considered Cassie her best friend.
In any case, they were long overdue for some Girl Talk and catching up, and an afternoon of cookies and tennis didn't sound like a bad idea.

And she'd missed Cissie, too, and knew, maybe better than anyone, how important it was to keep up with the people she loved. You never knew what might happen tomorrow.
She had all this in mind as she arrived at Cissie's and knocked on the door.
