( The rain came out of nowhere--one minute it was so hot and sunny that everyone was stripping out of their shirts to keep cool and the next minute clouds rolled in, it got dark and then it was pouring. )

Well, today was the last leg of the road trip. I'm kind of sad it's over--it was a lot of fun, guys. Buuuuut it was so nice to take a shower at home and I am so looking forward to sleeping in a real bed. OMG.

Things had been remarkably drama-free since arriving in Yosemite on Friday night--whether it was the drinking that night, or being able to spend a few days out of the van, or finally getting used to being together 24/7, Cissie wasn't sure. But she wasn't going to complain. Even two days in the van heading home had been surprisingly stress-free, save the brief tension between Cassie and Bart when they kind of argued about empathy. They seemed to have moved on quickly, but it reminded Cissie that she had been meaning to find some time to talk with Cassie--if Cassie would open up and actually talk.

She waited until sunset on Wednesday night, when everyone was hanging around the campfire or off teasing swans, in Kon's case. Then she grabbed her camera and cornered Cassie while she was in her tent, asking her if she wanted to go down by the lake to take pictures of the sunset with her.

Hello from Ohio! We are camping within sight of Lake Erie. It's kind of awesome. And cold, but that's okay. Today was another really awesome day.

I had a list. But somehow it got covered in mud and then soaked in the lake and I don't remember what was on it. (Also I'm just kind of tired and cold and I want to go snuggle and sleeep and hide in the sleeping bag.)

So--number of times Cissie has flaked on The List: 4. I'm half and half at this point.

Today was a Driving Day, but a fun one. I did not have to drive today! :D ...I think this means I get morning shift tomorrow, though. Should have thought that through. Anyway! It was neat seeing the Olympic venues in Salt Lake, even if they were for the winter games. ;) Skating was fun! Except the part where Bart used me as a braking system. Ow. Anyway, we made it to Nebraska. I think we have like a day and a half of driving left? Something like that. But we're having fun!

So, I forgot to post pictures yesterday. It was an awesome day and I was tired, so I slept instead. Buuuuuut we got up at like the CRACK OF DAWN--actually, before that, because I SAW the crack of dawn--so we could head to DISNEYLAND today! So. Posting from the van, because I'm cool like that.

Anyway. It was sad to say goodbye to Yosemite. (Yes, Bart and Kon, I know you can get us here anytime. Not the same!)

No list again tonight! I'm lazy and didn't bother today. It was a really great day, though. I had about a million cups of coffee this morning, which helped with the tequila aftermath quite nicely. :P And we did some hiking and exploring and played frisbee, went swimming, played hide-and-seek and flashlight tag (though playing those with a Speedster and a Super is hard).

Then we sort of separated for the night--Kon moved their tent, Bart moved ours and Steph and Cass stayed put, so we all could kind of get some space for the night. Not that we aren't having an awesome time, but we've had a looot of together time lately. I don't think any of us minded.

So--no list tonight, but I have pictures!

We are in Californai! Finally! We frove a looooot but we went and saw bart's dinisaurs. They were dinosaurlike.

Tongith there was drinking. Magic dringking, but I had tequila. Tequila is hard to spell. But I did it! Tim told jokes and kon flew and Cassie dances and Bart is sexy. Cass and steph watched for bears/

Today we drove a looooooooot. We went through like a bazillion states and had fun. If you can't tell--am sleepy. Bart is off for a run or chasing away bears--or are there mountain lions here? Anyway. I am all aloooooooone in my tent. So--picture time before I pass out!

Cissie wasn't kidding when she told Cassie that she had lost her living room somewhere under all the camping supplies. She had lists--somewhere--of everything she'd bought and what it was all for, but at the moment she didn't care so much about all of that. At the moment she just wanted to get everything out of the store packaging and into the duffle bags and plastic containers so it would all fit in the van. She hoped it would all fit in the van.

She had asked Cassie to come by to help. While she certainly appreciated the help, she knew she could also have asked Bart, or managed on her own. But she wanted to spend a little time with Cassie, and to talk to her about what had happened over the weekend, especially the part where Bart told her Cassie had broken up with Tim and Kon to sacrifice her own happiness for everyone else's.

State of the Cissie so does not sound as cool as State of the Bart. And Cissie Status doesn't sound great either. What's up in Cissie-land? Yeah, no. I am reminded why I went through a phase in which I asked everyone to call me Ralph.

ANYWAY. Mother's Day--not so bad! Bart, thank you. I would say I couldn't have done it without you, but I probably could have--I just didn't want to. And you won Mom over, so--yay! ♥ It meant a lot to have you with me.

I don't know that she's completely sold on the bakery yet, but I'm waiting for the day she shows up with billboard mock-ups. (You think I'm joking.)

Aaaaaaand in other news--Cassie and I went shopping yesterday. My living room looks like an LL Bean catalog threw up in here. Seriously, guys. We are totally almost all set. Hopefully we can fit all of this gear in the van with us. ;)
