State of the Cissie so does not sound as cool as State of the Bart. And Cissie Status doesn't sound great either. What's up in Cissie-land? Yeah, no. I am reminded why I went through a phase in which I asked everyone to call me Ralph.

ANYWAY. Mother's Day--not so bad! Bart, thank you. I would say I couldn't have done it without you, but I probably could have--I just didn't want to. And you won Mom over, so--yay! ♥ It meant a lot to have you with me.

I don't know that she's completely sold on the bakery yet, but I'm waiting for the day she shows up with billboard mock-ups. (You think I'm joking.)

Aaaaaaand in other news--Cassie and I went shopping yesterday. My living room looks like an LL Bean catalog threw up in here. Seriously, guys. We are totally almost all set. Hopefully we can fit all of this gear in the van with us. ;)

Cissie hates that things with her mother are so complicated. They're much better than they used to be. Not living together and having a few hours drive between them have helped, but she hates that that's what it took. She hates a lot of things when she stops to think about it, so she tries not to. She also hates that she still feels like she needs her mother's approval, even if she tells herself she doesn't.

( She hates being nervous to tell her own mother the amazing things that are making her happy. )
